Renée is a passionate licensed social worker who has always loved working with older adults and their families. She has spent her career addressing complex social issues of older adults in various roles, be it creating online programming to being a Memory Care Director, even working in Chronic Care Management within a leading healthcare network. Currently, she is the Administrative Director for the SHARE Network at the University where she gets to be part of a fantastic team who serves the community through providing education and resources.

Dr. Paun is Professor and the Rush Nurses Alumni Association Chair in Health and the Aging Process at Rush University College of Nursing. Her research program focuses on the chronic grief of caregivers who placed family members with dementia in long-term care. Her research has been funded through local, regional and federal grants. Her recently completed project funded by the National Institute on Aging is a randomized controlled trial testing the effects of a video live-streamed Chronic Grief Management Intervention on dementia family caregivers’ mental health outcomes.
